Since its establishment in 1998, SEL has been working on the ground with real social entrepreneurs, giving us experience that has informed our training. SEL programmes were the first social enterprise courses to be accredited by SFEDI and over 4,000 people have successfully completed our Understanding Social Enterprise programme.
Since launching Transitions last year – the course that enables public-sector workers to look at how to set up their service as a social enterprise – we have worked with over 16 local authorities and many other government departments and quangos. The feedback on Transitions and our other courses has been fantastic and helped us understand just how important our training programme is to those who want to access the world of social enterprise.
If social enterprise seems like a new and exciting place you want to enter, why not consider one of our courses, if:
- you want to set up as a sole trader and run your own show
- you are an established social enterprise that needs to respond to these challenging times with renewed business acumen
- you want to redesign the public service you currently operate within into a standalone service.
We have the course that is right for you.
SEL set up its consultancy in 2005 and since then has gone from strength to strength. We have worked with charities that want to develop their business plans, government bodies and civil society organisations that need to carry out high level research and international governments that want to explore their own social enterprise strategies. Last year alone, we worked with over 25 clients that included three government departments, 16 local authorities, five charities, two quangos and five social enterprises across nine countries. We have the enthusiasm, expertise and dedicated staff that can deliver the right social enterprise solution to meet your needs.
